Course Aim
To provide delegates with the knowledge and practical skills to safely operate a Wheeled Loading Shovel, delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical training and exercises.

Course Summary
- Undertake all pre-start, running checks and shut down procedures, mount and dismount
- Explain precautions to be taken for underground and overhead services and other hazards
- Prepare and configure the wheeled loading shovel for site and road travel
- Place the machine in an out of service condition
- Carry out excavations from an embankment of different materials and form stockpiles and ramps
- Ensure load integrity and security
- Explain loading/unloading procedures for machine transportation

Duration
The length of ur dumper courses can vary between 1 to 5 days long. This depends on the type of the course (the kind of a dumper truck that the course covers), but mostly on the driver’s experience using such and similar vehicles.
Testing / Certification
An NPORS Theory assessment made up of open questions and multiple choice answers along with an NPORS practical assessment.
NPORS Operator Card (Traditional) – Valid for 3 years.
