The aim of this course is to provide you with the basic knowledge and practical skills for operating a Road Roller. A road roller (sometimes called a roller- compactor or just roller) is a compactor- type engineering vehicle used to compact soil, gravel, concrete, or asphalt in the construction of roads and foundations. Similar rollers are used also at landfills or in agriculture.
Road roller training will cover safety, pre-shift inspections, basic maintenance and understanding of the controls. Road roller operator training will also include instructions in how to roll and compact, how to operate on sites with an incline and how to deal with staggers and overlaps.
